COAT OF ARMS

 

The Coat of arms in the emblem of Kerala Norbertines is rich in meaning and symbols.

 

It is inculcated with

The Circle : the circle represents the universe in which our ministry and service is on the move from place to place that also reminds us about the universal mission to which we are called for.

 

Olive Branches: the two olive branches which has a universal implication for peace. It also go along with the life of our founder St. Norbert who is widely known as the Apostle of Peace.

 

Coconut tree: the two coconut trees(Kera Trees) inside the Circle represents the land of Kerala, enriched with the greenery . That shows our

Blue Shade: the two blue shades inside the Circle, one above and one below indicate the vast Horizen and the Arabian Sea respectively.  In the Horizon it is inscribed “Communio” and the “Cross” of St. Norbert

 

Communio: the Charism and vital aspect of Norbertine Order in which the Confrers and Fraters of St. Norbert are united in One mind and one heart on the way to God.

The Arabian Sea and the boat on the Sea indicate the sweat of daily labor of the people to whom we serve.

 

Mitre & Crosier:   They Symbolise the ecclesial authority given to the International Order of Premonstratensians in serving the catholic church.
