In   1994  as part of extending the community life and spread of the Order, the Norbertine Fathers of Kerala region expanded to the North West of Kerala, in the district of Trichur. The place is called – Kallamkulam which is 40 kmts. away from Trichur town. There are 2 priests  in this house, namely- Fr. George Vadakkepeedika and Fr. Jose Pratap. There is rubber plantation and a retreat centre here. In every month there are 2 retreats conducted. 50 to 100 people from all over Kerala attend these retreats. It is a ministry and there is no income drawn from this activity. Besides the work in the house, farm and retreat house the fathers cater to the pastoral needs of convents by being chaplains and they spare time by being confessors in the parishes of Trichur diocese.

 

 

THE CANONICAL LIFE OF THE CONFRERS

 

The confreres living in this house are very keen in building up the community life according the Rule of St. Agustine and the Constitution of the Order. They have common prayer in the morning and evening; they share meal together at all times, and common recreation in which they share their pastoral experiences and concern.
